One of a series of new health care centres in the Glasgow City Council areas, this multi-million pound health centre (part of the hub West Scotland series of projects) was constructed in the heart of Glasgow by construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall. The £16 million project designed by JM Architects will house GP surgeries, dental practices, treatment rooms, social services and community spaces.

Firespec’s involvement in this project included inspection of off-site applied intumescent coatings to the perimeter steelwork whilst all the internal steelwork was coated onsite, which required a number of visits and tests being conducted through the early stages of the project before partitions started being erected.

This ensured the structure was protected and intumescent coated to the correct standards.
