Firespec were appointed at an early stage to this £750million project to provide coatings specification consultancy and off-site inspection of surface preparations and priming of structural steel at the fabricator’s manufacturing facility. Once on site, Firespec provided further regular inspection of the application of 55,000m2 of 90 and 120 minute intumescent coatings.

When fully complete this Bruntwood SciTech & Vita Group development will consist of twelve buildings providing over 1,700 student accommodation units, 9,000m2 of retail and restaurant space, 112,000m2 of commercial lettings, a multi-story car park and a hotel.
